7 Benefits of Matcha + 4 Drink Recipes You’ll Love

Let’s kick off this morning feeling fresh!! 

I’m going to run through the seven main benefits of Matcha Green Tea as well as four different Matcha drink recipes! First, a little background. Matcha is most commonly bought as a powder (from leaves) and then turned into a drink that is very high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, high in catechin (a natural antioxidant) and caffeinated. It’s good for your liver, heart, boosts metabolism, clears skin, cholesterol, detoxes the body, and it’s also super easy to make. You can pretty much whisk, shake, or blend the powder with any liquid. 

I recently switched from drinking coffee in the mornings to matcha for a couple of reasons! First of all, to save my teeth from browning. Second, it has slightly less caffeine than coffee. Third other health benefits, fourth low in calories, and fifth it’s fun to make with so many recipes! I’ve been interested in matcha for a while now but the main reason I finally purchased was to save my teeth! They would stain so fast when I consistently drank coffee and I spent so much money on teeth whitening products. Which is super contradictory obviously! But after switching to matcha, I took care of both problems. Along with adding more health benefits that aid in maintaining a balanced body and gut! Not only this, but matcha is quite low in calories, so switching it out for black coffee makes hardly a difference! it’s really easy to experiment with matcha. Drinks are pretty popular, and food recipes with matcha powder in them are just as good!
